These words fall short
When they try to express
But when I dream
My vision is pure

Your soft supple skin
Your sweet caress
Are only part of
Your intangible allure

I feel like a babe
Safe in your arms
Yet I'm a man
With so much to give

I am more than these words
More than these thoughts
I have more than
This reason to live

Yet this reason alone
Drives me from the brink
With promises
I cannot detail

I imagine you standing
With outstretched arms
And I'm reminded
I cannot fail

So I look to you
And fall into
Arms that will
Hold me tight

I close my eyes
And drift to sleep
As you tell me
It will be all right
