Distant stars
May have a clue
But here on Earth I have none
I used to be
A happy child
Playing everyday in the sun
I used to have
Hopes and dreams
An outlook as bright as day
Times were not great
But I knew
Everything would be okay
So what has changed
Now as a man
My heart has held so much pain
Day after day
I sift through the rubble
Trying to ascertain
But it's unclear
Why I am here
Revolving around as I do
A new day has dawned
But the question remains
Will I make it through

When we'll dance beyond the moment

And enjoy the very closeness
That fills us up to here
When each moment will seem forever
But too quick when it has fled
And I'm longing just to touch you
Playing it over inside my head
I cannot wait to kiss you
