Let Him Be Your Sun
August 15th, 2002

May your love
Know no decline
But grow deeper
And forever rise

God has brought
You together
No one can loosen
Once He ties

Let His Grace
Be your consolation
And His Love
Your stalwart guide

Walk the path
Of the upright
And He will bless you
As you strive

He will bless you
In this season
And all the seasons
To come

His Light will
Bring you warmth
If you let Him
Be your Sun

I am many things
Bundled
In this fragile shell

More than a figure
In this world
Where I dwell

More than a shadow
That passes
Beneath the sun

I am me,
Only me
Yes, the only one

Others
They do see me
And thoughts
They do exist

But I am invisible
And not numbered
On their list

I'm no pebble
In their sand
No worry
In their concern

Not even a flicker
In their imagination
When the fire brightly burns

Not even a blade
Have I become
In the grass
That richly grows

Not even a reflection
In the mirror
I'm here but no one knows

I've fallen
Out of sight
And my plight
Continues unseen

I exist
Only to exist
And my light
Has lost its sheen
