Let Him Be Your Sun
August 15th, 2002

May your love
Know no decline
But grow deeper
And forever rise

God has brought
You together
No one can loosen
Once He ties

Let His Grace
Be your consolation
And His Love
Your stalwart guide

Walk the path
Of the upright
And He will bless you
As you strive

He will bless you
In this season
And all the seasons
To come

His Light will
Bring you warmth
If you let Him
Be your Sun

These words fall short
When they try to express
But when I dream
My vision is pure

Your soft supple skin
Your sweet caress
Are only part of
Your intangible allure

I feel like a babe
Safe in your arms
Yet I'm a man
With so much to give

I am more than these words
More than these thoughts
I have more than
This reason to live

Yet this reason alone
Drives me from the brink
With promises
I cannot detail

I imagine you standing
With outstretched arms
And I'm reminded
I cannot fail

So I look to you
And fall into
Arms that will
Hold me tight

I close my eyes
And drift to sleep
As you tell me
It will be all right
