The first 2 stanzas brought me back to my wedding day, a day as beautiful as this poem.

Your Silent Beauty
May 22nd, 1998

Your silent beauty
Calls to me
As I sleep at night

As I dream
I am content
In the pale moonlight

When I awake
Will I recall
The vision of love I’ve seen?

Or will it fade
Like the luster
Of jewelry no longer clean?

I long to have
Your kisses
In the morning
When I rise

To taste
The sweet elixir
As I look
Into your eyes

To hold and
Caress you gently
Living out
My fondest dreams

Then slipping
Into forever
On a feeling
No less serene
